Strengthening grassroots sports clubs.
Tight5 Media works with community sports clubs to improve communication, engagement, and commercial foundations — helping them operate more professionally without losing the culture that makes them special.
Our Mission
Grassroots sport is powered by volunteers, passion, and community. But too often, clubs are held back by outdated systems, inconsistent communication, and limited support.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between passion and professionalism, giving clubs the tools, structure, and confidence to grow sustainably — on and off the field.
Built for Grassroots Sport
Everything we deliver is designed specifically for community-level clubs — not corporates, franchises, or elite organisations.
Clear, Simple Systems
We focus on practical solutions that are easy to adopt, maintain, and actually use.
Partnership Approach
We work alongside clubs, supporting committees and volunteers rather than adding complexity.
Real-World Experience
Our approach is grounded in hands-on experience within grassroots sport, not theory.
tight5
[taɪt ˈfaɪv] / noun ~ rugbyism
___________________________________
The five forward players who form the first two rows of a rugby scrum. The most imposing and powerful members of the team. Steadfast and unpretentious, they are the engine room whose strength, grit and hard work provide the foundation and stability that enables the team to function and flourish.
That philosophy defines Tight5 Media. We focus on the foundations that keep clubs functioning and growing:
Clear communication
Consistent messaging
Strong engagement
Sustainable digital systems
When the foundations are right, everything else works better.
The Meaning Behind “tight5”

Built From the Ground Up
Tight5 Media was founded by Rod Mountford, whose career spans grassroots sport, business leadership, and community development.
Having worked directly with community sports clubs — including serving as Vice President of Greenock Cricket Club — Rod saw first-hand how small improvements in communication, structure, and digital presence could deliver outsized results.
Those insights became the foundation of Tight5 Media:
a practical, club-first model that helps grassroots organisations professionalise without losing their identity.
